Ray Droids are silent assassins equipped with X-ray vision and stealth coating, serving as MOTHER's secret intelligence. Their skin is equiped with modules mimicking octopi, that allows them to blend seamlessly with any surface.

Rays are practically invisible and they emit no frequency or energy, making them basically undetectable unless they choose to reveal themselves. By then, it's often too late, as many rogue hybrids have unfortunately discovered.

Ray Droids are not invincible, though. Their high energy consumption grants them little armor and no shields. If you survive a Ray's initial assassination attempt, your chances of survival are high since they will mostly use their remaining energy to escape the scene.

Nevertheless, Ray Droids are usually very effective, and if hybrids ever talk about them, they will likely be whispering.
